The Writing Lab team will meet today after school in Room 228 for training and to discuss plans for the college essay writing workshop.  Please see Mrs. Groninger if you cannot attend.

The PTHS Interactive Club is running our annual sneaker drive! It will run from September 29th to October 6th. Anyone is welcome to donate! Collection boxes will be in the school lobby throughout the duration of the drive. We are only able to accept sneakers. Please donate and help us provide sneakers for those in need.

Photo Retake Day will be Tuesday, September 29, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Black Box.  If missed photo day, come down when called alphabetically by grade.  If retaking, please complete an online form that will be sent home by Mrs. Belcher via Parent Square. Seniors who still need FORMAL portraits taken may also come that day. Questions?  See Mrs. Boni in room 306.

COUNSELING AND OTHER

Attention Students taking the SAT this Saturday: Please arrive at the high school no later than 7:30 a.m. for check-in. Earlier arrival will ensure that you give yourself enough time to check in, find your testing room, and get you & your materials situated for the test which begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Make sure to bring your laptop & pencils with you on the test day. Have your Collegeboard.org login ready to go. Additionally, you MUST bring a College Board approved form of ID & a printed copy of your Admission Ticket, or you could be denied admission to the exam. If you are unsure of which forms of ID are acceptable, visit the Collegeboard.org site to see what qualifications. Admission Tickets must be printed; presenting it via a cell phone on test day is not admissible.

The Junior Class is raising money for this year’s prom. Your support will help us lower ticket costs and make prom an even more memorable night for everyone. The Girls Volleyball team invites you to their third annual Spike Out Childhood Cancer Night during their varsity home game against Upper St. Clair Tuesday, September 29, at 7:00 p.m. All students get free admission!  Wear gold in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, come cheer on your girls' volleyball team, and help us improve the outcomes for kids fighting cancer!

Attention 12th Grade Students: On Monday, September 21, all 12th-grade district-issued laptops must be submitted for an important Windows update.  Please drop off your laptop in the LGI when you arrive at school or at the start of period 1.  Attach a sticky note to the inside of your laptop, clearly listing your full name and password. Laptops will be returned to students by the end of the day.

Attention 9th Grade Students: Any student who did not get their protective cover installed on their laptop yesterday should stop at the LGI on Monday, September 21, with their laptop.  Techs will be available throughout the day.

In Memory of PTHS English Teacher Meredith Price, PTHS Cheer is collecting new and gently used books (of any age range) now through Friday, September 18. Books can be placed in the designated bin located in the high school entrance lobby. An additional collection will take place on September 18, a varsity (Youth Night) football game. Collected books will be donated in Mrs. Price's memory to the LeMoyne Community Center and area libraries in Washington County. Help us fill those bins and make a difference.
